Eh, I'll take The Circus in an upset. The General is superb on a technical level, but it is often painfully dull to watch. Even a lesser Charlie Chaplin film like The Circus is more entertaining.

The General; Buster Keaton's silent films appeal more to me than Chaplin's. Although, The Circus does have a lot of great gags from among Chaplin's films.
