The two weakest Kubrick films in my opinion. Killer's Kiss gives you a glimpse of the filmmaker Kubrick would become, but it's plot is too thin and what story there is needs a lot of work. Spartacus is good, but not the epic masterpiece it's sometimes held up to be. In the end, I think Spartacus gets the win without any trouble.
Spartacus for me as well. I personally find Lolita to be Kubrick's weakest despite it still being great (there's something weird going on there). Killer's Kiss was very plain and simple but it worked. Spartacus was Kubrick's first and only great epic film and I found it to be relatively entertaining; Kirk Douglas is a damn fine actor. Spartacus is in my top 100 and Killer's Kiss is in my top 300.

I'm yet to see Fear and Desire, Barry Lyndon, and Eyes Wide Shut, but Killer's Kiss is currently my least favorite from Kubrick. Spartacus blew me away to be honest. It is my third favorite.

Aside from a few flashes of Stanley Kubrick's talent for aesthetics, Killer's Kiss is just plain amateurish. Spartacus is far better...

Honestly, now that I know the background to how spartacus was done it's clear to me why I thought for (almost) the entire time 'omg how cheesy and boring'. I was just expecting MUCH more and it didn't feel like kubrick at all. Then I found out how kubrick didn't even come up with directing it, he was just hired because they fired the original director and had to deal with a loooot of studio interference, but in the end he got a lot of money and a reputation so he could go on directing Lolita, Dr strangelove and after that the greatest movie ever made. Now I haven't said a thing about killer's kiss, and that's because there is not much to say. It's just showing how much skill kubrick has and how a creative mind can still do something useful with very little money. So it's killer's kiss for me, simply because it is a kubrick film, while spartacus is a swords and sandals movie kind-of directed by kubrick.
