Similar movies in that both main characters must overcome tremendous physical and mental hurdles to reach a better understand of self. The means by which each character finds themself in a wheelchair is different, and the circumstances surrounding their predicament are different, however, Born on the Fourth of July has political overtones that Stronger avoids. Going with Cruise on this one.
