A great film , long time #1 for me mainly from the best soundtrack I have heard. Best not only from the top notch 50's songs but, they play all the songs at length and loud enough to hear clearly which other movies often don't do. The sheer volume of great songs, one after another, constant great music that also relates to the current content. I read George Lucas convinced the producers and paid around $550K of the $750K total budget to get the songs. A lot in 1973. Well worth it. The movie itself is also a masterpiece and as someone who also lived the car life most of my early life I really enjoy it.
