I have to say the first time I saw this I hated it and yes it's because it was completely different from the first two but now as I keep watching it I don't think of it as a Halloween film I mean if you don't think of it as a Halloween film I mean the story is really cool I mean of coarse it ain't as good as the first two but it's still again pretty good

I thought this one was decent. It has some interesting ideas and a kick ass score from John Carpenter.

Great fun 80s horror movie, even if it has nothing to do with any of the other Halloween movies.

I still don't get why this has become so beloved. I don't mind that people love it, but I just don't get it. When I watched it, I found it to be very badly written, laughably bad at some points, and very campy. I also hated that love subplot, it comes out of nowhere, is unnecessary, and creepy because of the age cap. I don't hate it, it does fall into guilty pleasure territory, but I don't get why everyone has been saying it's legitimately good. I just don't get it.
