The Trial is a visual treasure. The story itself is unmoving. Welles created a stunning world, but the characters never invited me in. The movie kept me at a distance.

Loved the eerie, dreamlike atmosphere and Welles' awesome storytelling. A unique film that is awesome but not elite.
