I had heard a lot about this film. I had seen the pictures in the "horror" books as one of the top horror films for its day. I did not find it "scary" but it was entertaining. I thought the fact that the lead actress has an affair, then her lover is discovered in bed with her, but he is killed so the all is okay as now no one will know. Even she seemed to be relieved her reputation is in tact even though she loved the guy. Strange. I had no idea that Jews wore "witches" hats and practiced so much witchcraft and spells either. Should you see it? Sure, it is a classic.
